More than 960 millions tenge has been allocated to strengthen the material and technical base of the Emergency Situations Department of the West Kazakhstan region, reports the national portal "Adyrna" referring to the site "My City".
"In the current year, 962 millions tenge were allocated from the regional budget to strengthen the material and technical base, one unit of high-speed emergency rescue vehicles, seven units of trailer motor pumps, three units of mobile motor pumps, etc. 71 millions tenge have been allocated from the local budget for helicopter service," said Mereke Zhumagaliyev, head of the state fire control department of the Emergency Situations Department of the West Kazakhstan region.
According to Zhumagaliyev, 17 natural fires and 90 natural fires occurred in the region during the period of fire danger with a total area of 7050 hectares. Compared to 2023, the number of wildfires has increased.
In addition, it was reported that funds for the purchase of 150 bag fire extinguishers for 8.6 millions tenge have been allocated from the local budget.
According to him, a total of 480 fire incidents were registered in the region, as a result of which three people died and six more people were injured in various degrees. The amount of damage was 473 millions tenge.
