President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. The press service of Akorda wrote about this today, August 23, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
During the conversation, the president expressed confidence that the agreements reached will bring the strategic cooperation of the two countries to a new level.
- Comprehensive and meaningful negotiations were held yesterday. The result is also pleasing. I am grateful for your support in holding the business forum at a high level. Agreements with a total value of more than 1 billion dollars were signed. This is a happy thing. Yesterday we agreed to work together to bring the volume of mutual trade to 2 billion dollars. I think that the governments of the two countries should consider various directions that contribute to increasing the trade turnover between our states, - said Kassym-Zhomart Kemeluly.
The head of state once again confirmed that our country is committed to further strengthening constructive partnership with Tajikistan.
In turn, Kohir Rasulzoda thanked Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev for coming to Tajikistan on a state visit, and noted that the cooperation between the two countries has intensified in recent years.
