There was a flood in the Esentai River in Almaty, "Adyrna" reporter reports with reference to the press service of the administration.
In the last two days, the temperature in Almaty has warmed up to 0 degrees, and the weather has changed. As a result, the snow and frozen ice melted along the Esentai River channel in the lower part of Ospanov street. As a result, there was a local ice flood with a maximum flow of up to 20 cubic meters per second, and the water level rose by 1.5 meters.
According to the mayor's office, the utility service has stopped the flood. About 60 employees were mobilized to stop the river water from the channel.
