Prime Minister Alikhan Smayilov met with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during his official visit to Azerbaijan, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
During the meeting, it was said that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan plan to increase the volume of mutual trade to 1 billion dollars.
Also, the Head of Government Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev conveyed warm greetings and told that the 100th anniversary of the leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, which would be celebrated this year, was very important.
He noted that relations between the two countries were a bright example of strategic partnership and alliance based on trust and mutual understanding.
