The Shymkent school wanted to buy a basketball for 232 thousands tenge and a volleyball for 42 thousands tenge. Dauren Yergarin, head of the Shymkent city department of the Anti-corruption Agency, wrote about this on his Facebook page, the "Adyrna" national portal reported.

According to the record, Shymkent's anti-corruption service prevented this purchase and saved more than 2.2 millions tenge from the budget.

"Specialized school-gymnasium for gifted children No. 90" of the city education department approved the purchase of 20 balls for 2.7 million budget funds in the state procurement plan of KMM. Each unit of the product is overestimated by 2 to 10 times. The state institution planned to buy a basketball for 232,000 tenge, and a volleyball for 42,000 tenge, Yergarin wrote.

The department sent a letter of recommendation to the organizer of public procurement to revise the clause of the plan. As a result, more than 2.2 million tenge were saved.
