The anti-corruption service made public the ex-chairman of the board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" Abylay Myrzakhmetov for what crime he was arrested. This was announced by the press service of the department, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"On May 10, the ex-chairman of the board of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Abylay Myrzakhmetov, was arrested.
He was suspected of fraud and of inciting a businessman to pay a large bribe for helping to free his relative from criminal responsibility. The suspect was detained at the Astana city police station," the report said.
According to the information, currently a complex of investigative measures is being conducted in the criminal case. Information about his involvement in other crimes is being investigated.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code, other information is not subject to disclosure in the interests of the investigation.
At the same time, in accordance with Article 77, Paragraph 3, Subsection 1 of the Constitution and Article 19, Part 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, every person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a legally binding court verdict.
