Almaty administration paid 567 millions tenge to the owners of cars damaged during the January incident. This was reported by the press service of the administration, the correspondent of "Adyrna" wrote.
According to the instructions of the head of state Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, work was being done not only on the compensation of the damage caused to small and medium-sized businesses, but also on the residents of Almaty whose cars were damaged or destroyed during the January events, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
"Currently, 143 requests for compensation of damage caused by car owners have been received by the ex.coms of Almaty districts. According to the mechanism of compensation for damage caused to individuals (according to the Rules for compensation of property damage caused to individuals and legal entities as a result of the act of terrorism, approved by the Government Resolution No. 877 of August 28, 2013) All 143 applications were supported in the amount of 566.7 million tenge," the report said.
District administrations consider applications within 1 month from the date of receipt. Property damage assessment is established within 7 days from the date of registration of the application and is carried out by independent experts selected by the victims. District ex.coms are tasked with the assessment of expenditures on behalf of state bodies.
