Today, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, promised to build 700 facilities for providing first medical and sanitary assistance in villages and district centers. "Another important task of the state is to improve the health of the population and increase the life expectancy of citizens. We will strengthen the training of medical specialists and preventive work. Quality medical care will be provided in every city, district center, and large villages. This is one of the most important priorities for creating a just Kazakhstan," said Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
The candidate says that the amount of money allocated to health care will increase. For example, in 2027, the volume of finance in this field will reach at least 5 percent of the gross domestic product.
"In order to increase the reputation of the profession of doctor, their high status is confirmed by law. Comprehensive support is provided to medical workers. We are expanding the scope of the public health screening program. Among them, we emphasize timely detection of oncological and non-infectious diseases," said the candidate.
