An earthquake struck a region in Kyrgyzstan near the border with Kazakhstan, according to a statement from the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, reports “Adyrna”.
The earthquake was recorded on July 25 at 02:40 AM Astana time.
According to the report, the epicenter was located within Kyrgyz territory, about 38 kilometers northwest of Jalal-Abad city.
The magnitude of the quake was 4.3.
The intensity of the tremors in nearby settlements of Kyrgyzstan was as follows:
- Massy city and Kara-Bulak village – around 4 points
- Kochkor-Ata city and Gelegen village – 3.5 points
- Mailuu-Suu city – 3 points
Additionally, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, an earthquake was recorded near Lake Alakol in the Zhetysu region of Kazakhstan.
