Thousands of Afghans protested in front of the Panjshir governor's office against the killing of an "innocent man" by the Taliban, the national portal Adyrna reported.

Demonstrators say Taliban forces shot and killed an innocent civilian in the city of Anava in Panjshir province. Abdul Hamid Khurasani, the head of the Panjshir security service, confirmed that one of the residents had been killed by the Taliban over false information.

Protesters say the Taliban should fight for justice and bring those responsible to justice. The leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan then promised the people that anyone who commits such an offense will be prosecuted.
