A resident of Zhambyl Region filed a lawsuit after being denied pension payments due to an error in the spelling of their surname in their employment record, reports the Adyrna national portal.

The civil case was reviewed by the Zhambyl District Court.

“The plaintiff, B., worked in various roles at the ‘P’ collective farm in Zhambyl District from 1985 to 1998. During the documentation process, the Pension Payment Center cited the incorrect spelling of the surname in the employment record as the reason for denying the payments,” stated the court’s press service.

During the hearing, the court noted the existence of an archival certificate confirming the man’s name and years of employment at the mentioned collective farm.

The claim was upheld, and it was ruled that the employment record indeed belonged to the plaintiff.

The court’s decision has not yet come into legal force.
