New details have emerged regarding the death of an officer in Zharkent, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
The Ground Forces press service reported that the officer died from injuries sustained during an unplanned anti-sabotage security exercise. Four individuals have been detained in connection with the officer’s death.
It was previously reported that on November 14, the body of Captain Darkhan Daulet was found at military unit 74261 in the Zhetysu region. According to the family, he had gone on night duty on November 13 and died around 1:00 a.m. The military informed the family of his death at 7:00 a.m.
The deceased’s brother, who prepared his body for burial, stated that Darkhan had been severely beaten. He observed rope marks on his hands and legs, as well as a fracture on his skull.
“Our main demand from the investigating authorities is justice. We ask and demand that those responsible for Darkhan’s death be held accountable under the law. High-ranking generals and deputies attended the funeral today. They apologized. A general promised to conduct a fair investigation and punish those involved. However, we still don’t know under which criminal charges the case is being investigated,” said the officer’s brother, Yermek Musayuly.
It is worth noting that the death of another officer in the Kazakh military had also been reported recently.
