At the invitation of Mongolian President U. Khurelsukh, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will undertake a state visit to Mongolia on October 28-29, 2024, Adyrna reports, referencing Montsame news agency.
This visit marks the first by a Kazakh head of state in 16 years, following the last in 2008.
During the visit, Tokayev and Khurelsukh are expected to conduct official talks, focusing on the achievements of 30 years of diplomatic relations and strengthening traditional friendly ties. They aim to enhance cooperation on regional issues, transport, logistics, agriculture, veterinary medicine, technology, culture, tourism, and information exchange. Several intergovernmental agreements will be signed to further enrich the economic partnership and solidify the legal framework underpinning relations between the two countries.
Kazakhstan and Mongolia established diplomatic relations on January 22, 1992.
