According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the ‘Ughzi’ LLP seismic station network recorded the earthquake at 1:32 AM Astana time.
‘The epicenter of the earthquake is located 669 km southwest of Almaty, in the territory of Uzbekistan,’ the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
No tremors were recorded on the territory of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that on the night of October 17, a magnitude 2 earthquake occurred in Almaty. The epicenter was located 264 km southeast of the southern capital of Kazakhstan, in the territory of China.
