Prisoners rioted in a colony in the Turkestan region, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"Some of the convicts in the institution in the Turkestan region showed disobedience due to their disagreement with the regime of detention," reports the press service of the Committee on the Criminal Execution System of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, it was reported that two soldiers of the National Guard and one police officer were slightly injured and received medical assistance.
"According to this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of Article 428 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the report says.
According to the KAJK, the situation has stabilized at the moment.
