A new committee was established in Kazakhstan under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov, "Adyrna" national portal reported.
"A committee to combat drug crime should be established under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the document says.
According to the changes, the Ministry of Internal Affairs now includes:
General Command of the National Guard of Kazakhstan;
Committee on the criminal-executive system;
Administrative Police Committee;
Migration Service Committee;
Committee for the fight against drug crime.
The resolution will enter into force from the date of signing, that is, from September 11, 2024.
