"Shymkent residents felt an earthquake on June 19 at approximately 5:09 p.m.," said the statement of the National Disaster Management Authority.
It was found that the epicenter of the earthquake was located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, 511 kilometers south-west of the city of Almaty.
According to preliminary data of the National Data Center of Kazakhstan, an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred in Kyrgyzstan.
