Alisher Kadyrov, the deputy speaker of the lower house of the Parliament of Uzbekistan, the leader of the "Milliy Tiklanish" party, told that it was necessary to review the use of the Russian language in education, television and other spheres, "Adyrna" correspondent reported.
"The official representatives of Russia limit themselves to talking about the strange behavior of chauvinists. After that, we did not hear stories other than this topic. In such a situation, we should think about practical measures to improve the relationship. For example, the Russian language is widely used in the field of education and television. However, the share of Russian-speaking citizens in the country is less than 3%. This imbalance should be corrected," he said.
Kadyrov also stated that the teaching of primary education in mother tongue should be approved by law.
"Let's exchange TV programs of our Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Turkish, and Tajik brothers. We will discuss these issues at future faction meetings," added the politician.
Let's recall that earlier Russian historian Mikhail Smolin said in the talk show "Mesto Vstry" that neither Kazakhs nor Uzbeks existed as a nation before the revolution of 1917.
