Almaty police fined the owners of "decorated" cars, "Adyrna" national portal reported with reference to the Polisia.kz website.
According to law enforcement officers, violators were identified during monitoring of social networks.
"Mercedes-Benz and BMW drivers were found to have grossly violated traffic rules. They decorated their cars and thus violated the provisions of Article 590, part 7 of the Criminal Code. At the same time, signs of violation of the requirements of part 1 of Article 595 of the Criminal Code were observed in the actions of the offenders," the report said.
Part 7 of Article 590 of the Criminal Code carries a fine of 15 MCI, and part 1 of Article 595 is punishable by a fine of 5 MCI.
Local police officers identified the drivers and brought them to justice.
