According to the researchers, the first three lines of the rating are occupied by Venezuela, Papua New Guinea and South Africa: the higher the place in the list, the higher the criminal situation. The crime index of country-leaders is 83.76, 80.79 and 76.86, respectively.
Kazakhstan with an index of 53.77 also entered the rating, taking the 40th place. Neighboring Kyrgyzstan scored 31 points and scored 56.87 points. Uzbekistan - 99th place (33.42), China - 108th (30.14), Russia - 86th (39.99).

The authors of the study note that the level of crime varies greatly from country to country and depends on many factors. For example, a high level of poverty and unemployment, as a rule, increases the level of crime in the country. According to analysts, there is also a strong correlation between age and crime: most crimes, especially violent crimes, are committed at the age of 20-30 years.
