Armenia and Azerbaijan have published the preliminary agreed text of an agreement on establishing peace and inter-state relations, Adyrna National Portal reports.

The document states that the two countries recognize each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, renounce any territorial claims, and commit to non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.

The parties agreed to refrain from the use of force, not to deploy the military forces of third countries along the common border, and to implement confidence-building and security measures. In addition, the border will be delimited and demarcated, and diplomatic relations will be established.

The agreement envisions cooperation in economic, transport, environmental, humanitarian, and cultural spheres. It also provides for the search for those missing during the conflict and the return of the remains of the deceased. All previous mutual claims will be withdrawn from international bodies.

The implementation of the agreement will be monitored by a bilateral commission, and any disputes will be resolved peacefully. The document has been prepared in Azerbaijani, Armenian, and English, with the English version to prevail in the event of disputes.
