U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement regarding military preparations in relation to Russia, reports the national portal “Adyrna” citing Tengrinews.

In an interview with Newsmax on August 1, Trump addressed military readiness concerning Russia. He described recent nuclear-related remarks by Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev as “extremely dangerous” and said he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be deployed in response.

“When I hear the word ‘nuclear,’ my eyes light up. It’s the greatest threat. So we must be cautious. I sent out two submarines. I wanted to see if Medvedev’s words were just that—words—and not reality,” Trump said.

When asked by the journalist whether the submarines were approaching Russia, Trump replied:

“Yes, they are positioned closer to Russia.”

On the same day, Trump also addressed the issue on his Truth Social page, saying he made this decision in response to Medvedev’s “very provocative” statements, calling it a step toward ensuring the safety of Americans.
