A Kyrgyzstan deputy proposed legalizing light forms of drugs in the country, reports the national portal “Adyrna,” citing a Kyrgyzstan agency.
Deputy Dastan Bekeshev stated:
“We must distinguish between good and bad. For example, synthetic drugs are bad. We should consider allowing adult citizens in the country to use light forms of drugs.”
He raised concerns about law enforcement destroying natural drugs like cannabis, which has led to higher prices. As a result, young people resort to purchasing cheap synthetic drugs, he warned.
Other deputies noted that legalizing drugs could help promote tourism development.
