A new head of the Financial Monitoring Agency was appointed

A new head of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been appointed, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
The new head is Dmitry Malakhov, who previously served as deputy chairman of the KMA.

The relevant decree was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokaev on February 13, 2024.

"Dmitriy Mykhailovych Malakhov shall be appointed as the chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, having been released from his previous position," the document states.

In October 2023, Dmitry Malakhov was appointed the deputy chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency. Before that, he served as the first deputy chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency (from March 2022 to October 2023).
