An extended meeting of the Government under the chairmanship of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev is taking place in Astana, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
This is the first extended meeting approved on the eve of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by the new Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov.
We remind you that on February 6, Olzhas Bektenov was elected as the new Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. His candidacy was proposed by the Amanat faction in the Mazhilis.
On this occasion, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, who spoke in the Parliament, said that he considers Bektenov "hardworking and very educated".
It became known on February 1 that the extended meeting of the government will be held this week. Later, the press service of the President announced that he would personally participate in the event. During the meeting, the conclusions of the socio-economic development of the country in 2023 will be made, and the main tasks for the next period will be determined.
