Flowers were cast into the Caspian Sea to honor the victims of the recent plane crash in Mangystau Region, the regional administration’s press service reported, according to “Adyrna” national portal.
On December 26, mourning ceremonies were held in the ports of Aktau, Kuryk, and Bautino. Flowers were cast into the sea as a tribute to the victims of the crash.
Sailors emphasized that this was a tragedy shared by all.
“This is a gesture of respect for all those who lost their lives in the horrific plane crash. It is one of the most devastating events in recent years, claiming the lives of many, including children. We share the grief of the families affected and stand with them in this difficult time,” said participants in the memorial ceremony.
A similar ceremony was held on the Azerbaijani ferry “Zarifa Aliyeva” at the Port of Kuryk, attended by company employees, district officials, and media representatives. Serik Akhmetov, Director of “Kuryk Port” LLP, described the crash as a tragedy that shook the entire nation. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
Another event took place at the Bautino port, where dozens of people gathered. The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims and emphasized that local residents, including sailors, are ready to provide support to the affected families at any time.
