The People's Headquarters to support the construction of nuclear power plants arrived in Atyrau, the oil capital of the country. A number of meetings were held here with scientists, expert associations, CHP workers, producers, representatives of the oil, gas and chemical industries. Residents of the region emphasized the importance of ensuring energy independence of the country for further successful development of industry and economy, and actively supported the construction of nuclear power plants.
At Atyrau Oil and Gas University named after S. Otebaev, a meeting was held with faculty members and young scientists of higher educational institutions in the region. The members of the staff noted that the state pays a lot of attention to the issue of development of science and social support for scientists by order of the President. Today, the scientific community faces a huge task of introducing innovative technologies and developments into industrial production. In this regard, the NPP is of particular importance in increasing the scientific potential of the country. Kanysh Satbaev, a learned scientist of our people, said about this in the 50s of the last century.
"We all want our country to develop along with scientific and technical progress. Nuclear power plant significantly expands these possibilities. This is the need of the hour and we cannot be complacent in this matter. Therefore, I believe that citizens of Atyrau region who are open-minded, open-minded figures and scientists like you will support this initiative," said Majilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov in his speech to the participants.
