The suspect who created the "Qnet" financial pyramid was arrested in Astana. This was stated by the press service of the Financial Monitoring Agency, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
The suspect organized Qnet financial pyramid activities instead of using the funds received from private individuals for business activities. According to the scheme, old depositors were redistributed and enriched at the expense of contributions from newcomers.
"The amount received from investors amounted to 463 millions tenge. The company has been working in the territory of Astana and Akmola region since 2020 until now.
The specialized investigative court of Astana sanctioned the suspect for 2 months of "detention". In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other information is not subject to disclosure," the report said.
