Kazakhstan plans to increase the salaries of doctors to 561 thousands tenge by 2023. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov in response to a parliamentary question. This was reported by the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to Orda.kz.
He reminded that on the instructions of the President, it is planned to gradually increase the salaries of doctors, and by 2023 to increase the average salary in the economy to 2.5 times.
"From January 1, 2020, tariffs for medical services within the guaranteed volume of free medical care and in the system of compulsory social health insurance have been increased, respectively, the salaries of doctors have been increased by an average of 30% annually. It is planned to increase the salaries of doctors from 246 thousands tenge (2020) to 561 thousands tenge (2023), "Tugzhanov said.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that a road map has been approved to reduce the shortage of medical personnel until 2021.
"The issues of medical staffing were considered at a government meeting and the executive committee were instructed to take measures to provide financial incentives for medical workers," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
