Daily oil production in Kazakhstan has decreased by a quarter. According to the Oil and Gas Information and Analysis Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as of April 4, the country produced 192 thousand tons of oil per day, which is 25% less than the average in early March, the portal "Adyrna" reported.

The Telegram channel estimated the financial cost at $ 43 million a day - the amount of Kazakhstan's export earnings from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) through the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline. The reason was the accident reported by the CPC on March 23 in two of the three remote moorings caused by the hurricane in the port area of Novorossiysk.

The last post on the CPC website was published on March 28 and said that "repair work on VLU-2 and VLU-3 will take about 3-4 weeks."

In this context, "the main foreign suppliers of components - Imodco, Blue Water and Gall Thomson Environmental Ltd. - informed CPC-R JSC that it has refused to cooperate in the future and has suspended all previously scheduled deliveries, despite the fact that it was done in advance. In early December 2021, it was planned to pay the CPC in full.

From the Kazakh side, CPC management urges not to turn this into a tragedy - they say that under the sanctions against Russia, the consortium will buy all the necessary spare parts and repair kits from its Kazakh shareholder - CPC-K JSC, so there is no risk of shortage of components.

However, these statements were made before the famous interview of the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov in Europe, in which he said: "We adhere to sanctions. "As part of the international community, we are part of the international community, so our last wish is that Kazakhstan will not be subject to secondary sanctions by the United States and the European Union. We will do our best to control the sanctioned goods," he said.
