The Shymkent city department of the RK Anti-Corruption Agency made a statement. The department is investigating the head of the department and an investigator of the city's police department on suspicion of taking bribes. It was said that they accepted a bribe of 500,000 tenge and opened the way for a certain group to escape from punishment. Now the pre-trial investigation procedures have started, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the suspects are suspected of colluding and taking a bribe of 500,000 tenge from a city resident. It was said that by this action they tried to open the way for the escape of people involved in crime.

At present, the suspects have confessed to their crimes.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. According to Article 201 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, other information is not subject to disclosure.

According to Article 77, Clause 3, Clause 1 of the Constitution and Article 19, Part 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, every person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a legally binding court verdict.
