Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told that he didn't not believe in the possibility of an EU army following talks with his US counterpart Joe Biden at the G20 summit in Rome, Adyrna reported.

- "This is not a possible project. This is impossible", Erdogan told reporters in Rome, answering a question about the debate over the creation of the EU's own army. The broadcast was hosted by NTV.

The European Union's private military forces have been the subject of lengthy discussions in the European Parliament, and the overall strategy for defense and security, the "Strategic Compass", has been discussed in the EP for several years.
