A passenger who survived the plane crash near Aktau recounted how the incident unfolded, reports the national portal “Adyrna,” citing Oxu.az.
The Oxu.Az portal reported that Nurulla Siradzhov, a survivor of the crash, still cannot believe what happened.
During the crash, he tried to calm his wife, though he admitted to being overwhelmed by fear. “I was traveling with my wife to visit my son in Grozny. When the plane was first struck, I felt the heat of flames under my feet and thought I was injured. I tried to calm my wife, but fear took over me. I unbuckled my seatbelt and looked down, but the floor of the plane was intact. I sat back down. Then, a significant impact hit the rear of the plane. The flight attendants reassured the passengers, telling us we would land in Grozny,” Siradzhov said.
He felt confident that the plane would land safely as it descended. “I saw the airport building, the runways, and other planes. Imagine looking down from a ten-story building. We were very close to the ground. We were sure we were going to land,” he recounted.
However, at that moment, the plane suddenly gained speed and ascended again.
It is worth noting that Nurulla Siradzhov, a resident of Azerbaijan’s Zagatala district, expressed concern after the crash as he could not find his wife. Later, he was reunited with his wife, who had also survived the crash.
