The President of the United States postponed his trip after receiving information about a massive hurricane approaching the country, reports the national portal “Adyrna.”
According to CNN, Hurricane “Milton” is headed toward the state of Florida and could be the most devastating hurricane in the country’s last 100 years.
The BBC reported that President Joe Biden postponed his trips to Germany and Angola due to the hurricane. “Considering the trajectory and strength of Hurricane Milton, the president has canceled his planned visits to Germany and Angola to monitor preparations for the storm,” said Karine Jean-Pierre.
Biden himself described the situation as a “matter of life and death.”
In recent days, the hurricane has intensified to a Category 5, moving eastward at a speed of 14.5 km/h. Experts warn that the hurricane could bring catastrophic consequences to Florida.
Meteorologists predict that the hurricane will reach the state of Florida on October 9.
