Ethnic Kazakh Adilet Tolebaev will compete in the European Greco-Roman wrestling championship, the national portal "Adyrna" reports with reference to Sport Plus Kazakhstan.
On the first day of the championship, Tolebaev will start from the 1/8 finals in the Olympic weight class up to 77 kg. Opponent to be determined later. If he wins in 1/8, Tolebayev may meet with the leader of this weight, Malkhas Amoyan.
The Armenian athlete became the European champion in the last two years, as well as the world champion in 2021. Tolebayev will perform under a neutral flag at the European Championship.
Adilet Tolebaev was born in 1995 in the village of Russkaya Polyana, Ombi Region. Master of sports of international rank, multiple winner of the Russian championship, winner of international tournaments. Tolebayev, who competed in the license world championship last year, lost to Iranian Muhammadali Geraei in the first round. In recent years, he has been performing in the PWL professional wrestling league.
