A man wanted in connection with the embezzlement of 3.6 billions tenge and a financial pyramid was arrested in Georgia, the national portal "Adyrna" reported. This was announced by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office.
"With the consent of the Prosecutor General's Office, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Georgia detained a suspected citizen of Kazakhstan, who has been wanted since March 2020. "He is accused of creating and managing a financial pyramid with losses of more than 3.6 billions tenge," said a statement issued on Wednesday.
More than 600 victims were involved in the criminal case.
"Now the issue of his extradition is being resolved," added the General Prosecutor's Office.
