After the fires in the Abay region, the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Marat Kuldikov, has submitted a voluntary resignation, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan confirmed that Marat Kuldikov wrote a statement about his voluntary resignation. In the message:
"Currently, the procedure for agreeing on his dismissal is being conducted," it was written.
Let us remind you that during a special visit to Abay region, Tokayev criticized the "incompetent service" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and directly asked Marat Kuldikov a question. Interrupting him:
"Why does the minister whom I dismissed completely neglect to fulfill his direct duties?!
14 people died. Do you understand this? I met their families. These citizens were the children of their families, the head of the family. A two-year-old boy was orphaned in one family. People left their loans behind. They were the sole breadwinners of the family.
Fires happen all over the world, but there, appropriate measures are taken. The minister did not come, the akim of the region moved too slowly and sent his deputies. What kind of relationship to work?! Report on this! The real question is why the wrong prediction was made?", said the head of state.
