On the eve of Nauryz, a new hippodrome was put into operation in Shymkent. At the solemn event dedicated to the opening of the new facility, mayor of Shymkent Murat Aytenov and General Director of BI GROUP Aidyn Rakhimbaev, whose company built the facility, delivered a welcoming speech.
- A year and a half ago, we promised the people of Shymkent to build a new, modern hippodrome that meets international standards. We have fulfilled this promise. This is the largest hippodrome in Kazakhstan, - said A. Rakhimbaev.
Mayor of the city Murat Aytenov thanked the management of BI GROUP for the construction of a sports complex at their own expense.
- Today we are witnessing the opening of a new, large, modern hippodrome. It will positively influence the development of national sports. The hippodrome will give a new impetus to the development of national sports, including equestrian sports, not only in Shymkent, but throughout Kazakhstan. In honor of the opening, international competitions in national sports will be held here. More than one thousand athletes, including 126 foreign ones, will take part in them, - M. Aytenov said.
The program of the grand opening of the hippodrome was attended by guests from different regions of the country, public figures, the leadership of the National Sports Association, and citizens.
It should be noted that the new hippodrome has the largest race track in Kazakhstan. The stands are designed for 1,500 spectators, there are arenas with an equestrian arena, a veterinary unit, parking for more than 300 cars. There is an open terrace.
The length of the race track is 2012 meters. Horse jumping areas are covered with quartz sand and natural stones.
The new hippodrome, built according to world standards, will become one of the venues for international sports and entertainment competitions in the metropolis.
