Leaders and members of an organized criminal group were arrested in Astana, "Adyrna" reporter reported with reference to polisia.kz.
They are suspected of a criminal dispute that took place in one of the nightclubs in the capital in April of this year. As a result, two people were injured by firearms.
"At the same time, the defendants are suspected of having committed a large amount of fraud. Those caught promised to take care and resolve the property dispute between businessmen of Akmola region, and persuaded them to register two houses and two cottages in the region in the amount of 150 million tenge in the name of their relatives as a payment," the report said.
Those arrested were placed in a temporary detention facility. A pre-trial investigation is underway and their involvement in other crimes is under investigation.
