The American Embassy in Moscow urged its citizens to leave Russia immediately.
This was announced on the website of the diplomatic mission on Wednesday, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"U.S. citizens should not travel to Russia, and those living in or traveling within Russia should leave the country immediately while there are still limited opportunities for commercial travel," the embassy said.
