The Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan, Berik Asylov, mentioned on Twitter the amount of damages caused by the corruption cases completed since 2019, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"The head of the state instructed to develop a mechanism for building a school with funds illegally obtained from corrupt officials.
Since 2019, the amount of damages caused by corruption criminal cases has exceeded 29 billions tenge.
He instructed the prosecutors to strengthen supervision of recovery of illegally obtained funds and property. Together with the government, we will start implementing the President's initiative," wrote the Prosecutor General.
Let's recall that on September 1, President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev said in his address to the people of Kazakhstan that the money confiscated from corrupt officials would be used to build schools in Kazakhstan.
