The new film by Adilkhan Yerzhanov won the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival. This was reported by the press service of Kazakhfilm, Adyrna correspondent reported.
The story of the film takes place in a school in Karatas village. Unidentified assailants have taken students hostage and are making no demands for their release. Rescuers from the city could not reach the storm, so the school teacher Tazshi decided to unite the parents and release the children.
The main roles in the film are played by Azamat Nigmanov, Alexandra Revenko, Berik Aitzhanov, Daniyar Alshinov, Nurlan Batyrov, Teoman Khos, Erken Gubashev and Erden Telemisov.
"Assault" is a joint production of Kazakhstan and Russia, produced by ShortBrothers with the support of the Russian companies LOOKFILM and FORESTFILM. Kazakhfilm, Cinerental studio and the famous stunt team Nomad Stunts also took part in the project.
It should be recalled that in April, the film was awarded the Grand Prix and the Critics' Prize at the Festival International du Film Policier Reims Polar in France.
