Four new political parties may emerge in Kazakhstan, Minister of Justice Kanat Musin said, the national portal Adyrna reported citing Zakon.kz.
Today we are considering the documents of the four parties. These are "El tiregi", "Halyk Derbestigi", "Namys" and "Baiterek". The party "Halyk Deribestegi" passed to the second stage, received approval and held a congress. The party must submit a list of 20,000 candidates after the founding congress. Now, according to the law, the registration period has been suspended, and the party members are being checked for compliance with the law. The other parties - "El tiregi", "Namys" and "Baiterek" are still in the first stage. According to the Minister, among the members of the initiative group, which should include at least 1,000 people, were identified people whose IIN or IIN is incorrect, whose name, surname or patronymic does not match.
Unfortunately, along with members of other parties, the dead were also identified. According to the law, a citizen of Kazakhstan can be a member of only one political party. Therefore, he cannot participate in the formation of another party. But after all the shortcomings are eliminated, the parties can re-submit the documents and apply for the next stage, - said Kanat Musin.
The head of the Ministry of Justice clarified that since 2019, 10 initiative groups have applied for registration of a political party. Three of them passed the first stage, they received a message and confirmed the receipt of information.
Recall that on March 16, the President said in his message that the registration of parties in Kazakhstan would be significantly simplified. He instructed to reduce the registration threshold four times - from 20 to 5 thousand people.
