According to him, this was due to the system of governance and the situation in the country. Although Armenia is a presidential state, the head of state is not able to use its full potential to address domestic and foreign issues.
Therefore, Sargsyan will resign in consultation with his cabinet, hoping that the presidency will not provoke controversy and undermine national unity.
In 2018, Armen Sargsyan was elected President for 7 years. But he served only 4 years in the presidency.
