A fire broke out at Thermal Power Plant №1 located on the grounds of the aluminum plant in Pavlodar, according to representatives of the company, as reported by the national portal “Adyrna.”

Company representatives emphasized that the incident would not impact the operation of the power plant. The PR department of the Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC stated that the fire occurred in a cooling tower being dismantled by the contractor company “Alliance PV Stroy.”

The dismantling of the cooling tower, managed by “Alliance PV Stroy” on the “Kazakhstan Aluminum” JSC branch—“Power Plant” site, had been completed, and around noon, smoke was detected in the area. An engineer-technologist from the responsible workshop reported it immediately. The information was passed to the shift supervisor of the plant, who promptly called a private fire prevention and emergency response service. Permits and orders for flame-related work were seized. No casualties were reported. Currently, a firefighting unit is working at the scene, according to the PR department of Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC.

The company representatives assured that the fire would not affect the operation of Thermal Power Plant №1
