President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with region's governors and Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent at the Akorda residence and he gave them instructions. This was reported by the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to the website of Akorda.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev instructed the Government and the governors to take a set of measures to address socio-economic issues and improve the welfare of the population. The President also set a number of tasks to implement a series of political reforms within the strategy of creating a new Kazakhstan.
They need governors to reconsider the procedure for working with citizens, as well as to meet more often with residents of districts and villages, to address their concerns and increase public confidence.
In addition, the Government and the ex.committee were instructed to take systematic measures to reduce unemployment, develop entrepreneurship and create new jobs.
Following the meeting, the President instructed the governors of the regions and cities of national importance to implement the tasks set in the Address to the People of Kazakhstan.
