Kazakhstan ranks last in the environmental rankings, according to the national portal "Adyrna".
According to Energyprom.kz, billions of dollars do not seem to help protect and improve the environment in Kazakhstan. According to the CCPI (Climate Change Performance Index) 2022, Kazakhstan has the lowest score at 19.81. Nine positions lower than last year.
The CCPI, which has been published annually since 2005, monitors climate change. It is an independent monitoring tool for the effectiveness of climate protection in 60 countries and the European Union.
The effectiveness of climate change is assessed in four categories:
• greenhouse gas emissions;
• renewable energy;
• energy use;
• Climate policy.
Kazakhstan has a very low rating in four categories.
