Kazakhstan’s men’s hockey team started the XXXII Winter Universiade Games with a victory, reports “Adyrna.”
At the beginning of the match, the Swedish team scored 2 goals to take the lead. However, before the end of the period, the Kazakh team responded with 2 goals of their own. In the following two twenty-minute periods, Kazakhstan scored 7 unanswered goals. The game concluded with a 9:2 victory for Kazakhstan.
The men’s team will next face South Korea on January 14.
It should be noted that the XXXII Winter Universiade will take place from January 13 to 23 in Turin, Italy. This major student competition will feature approximately 2,000 athletes from 57 countries competing for 96 sets of medals across 11 sports.
