The President of the Czech Republic invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Prague

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavský. This was reported today, October 21, by the press service of Akorda, according to an ‘Adyrna’ correspondent.

While expressing his respect to the head of the foreign policy department, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that a long-standing and productive cooperation based on friendship and mutual respect has developed between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.

The President expressed confidence that the minister’s visit would give new impetus to the strengthening of multifaceted relations between the two countries. According to him, Kazakhstan is committed to close cooperation with the Czech Republic, which is considered one of its key partners in the European Union.

The President also highlighted that there is great potential for further developing trade and investment ties between the two countries and emphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to continue supporting Czech investors in the future.

In turn, Jan Lipavský conveyed an invitation from Czech President Petr Pavel for Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay an official visit to Prague.

The Czech Foreign Minister also noted that strong economic ties form the foundation of Kazakh-Czech cooperation. He identified industry, the transition to “green” development, and the energy sector as priority areas for joint work.

Additionally, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Jan Lipavský exchanged views on regional and international issues on the agenda.
