The head of state Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev sent an appeal to the people of Kazakhstan due to the large-scale floods in Kazakhstan, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

"Today, I am sending a special appeal to the citizens of our country. As you all know, a serious situation is developing in our country. Floods are occurring in the regions due to the sudden melting of snow. This is a natural disaster. Such a situation has not existed for a long time. This is the largest volume of the last 80 years. can be called a major natural disaster. Due to the flood, a state of emergency was declared in ten regions of the country, that is, in Abay, Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan and Ulytau regions. To correct the gaps sent by the executive bodies, I urgently need specific I gave the tasks. Now all the necessary measures are being taken.
